Real Madrid goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815, has declared that he doesn’t see himself playing for the club in the next four to five years and wants to end his career in the Major League Soccer.
The shot-stopper made his intention known after an interview on a Spanish TV channel. He stated that he wants to finish his career in an environment that is relaxed and not as stressful as the one at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Within 4 or 5 years I would like to be playing football in a more relaxed environment."
The Madrid captain continued and cited his decision on the fact that at Madrid, criticism on players is always critical and harsh. He imagines the situation will not improve as time goes by. Therefore, he feels that he is just being proactive.
"If there are comments and such fierce criticism when I'm 31, imagine how it will be when I'm 37.”
The Spanish international then turned his attention on Los Blancos boss, Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese is infamous for his fiery and outspoken character in the media. And now Casillas understands that and is sure his coach does that in order to protect the
Real Players.
"Takes the pressure off them."
"Yes, he is fiery."
The Real custodian then shed some light on the personality of the ‘Special one’. He revealed that Mourinho is the type of individual who likes straightforwardness since he has a direct personality. He also mentioned that he doesn’t like people who don’t
confront him and speak their mind.
"You have to be up front with him; he doesn't like people talking behind his back. If he doesn't like something, he tells you and when you don't like something, you tell him.”
Finally, the 31-year-old admitted that he doesn’t know where the capital-based club will be without the involvement of Mourinho.
“I can't imagine Real Madrid without Mourinho."
Los Blancos have not had a smooth run in the Primera Division this season. At the moment they are not where they expected to be. In fact, they are in the 3rd position and 11 points behind their arch-rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
