The Spaniard has taken out time to reveal that he was initially surprised when he found out that he was not included in the starting 11 by the Special One.

The shot stopper voiced that it was surprising for him as it has not happened in the last 10 years, however, he exclaimed that he has complete support for the decision taken by Madrid’s head coach, Jose Mourinho.
In addition, the athlete has discussed that he has not been dropped from a league game for quite a while now. He also voiced his support for fellow goalkeeper, Adan.

"The coach decides who plays. I have to keep training more with this healthy competition with Adan. Mourinho didn't say anything to me, he didn't explain anything. He doesn't give me explanations for when I do play, so then, neither when I don't.
"My team-mates have all given me their support, just like we've all given our support to Antonio [Adan]. Our results have not been so favourable, but the fact the two of us received the support of the dressing room is testament to the fact we all get along."
Real Madrid are currently 3rd in the Spanish La Liga’s league standings.
