A dozen years have passed by since http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815 made his debut appearance for Spanish national team. Fast forward the years and the 31-year-old has added trophies galore under his belt with La Roja squad.
In the space of 12 years, not only has the Real Madrid academy graduate managed to earn European and World Cup honours but is the proud holder of most victories in least amount of time on the global stage.
Casillas came head to head with his mentor on the twelfth year anniversary of his debut call-up as he led La Roja against Camacho’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926 in Seville.
Commemorating the occasion, Casillas thanked his former national team manager for the time and his current manager of his chances in Madrid’s white jersey. He stated that the duo have had a major impact on his footballing career and is happy to be with them
again.
"Today, June 3, 2012, is a special day for me," Casillas took to his Facebook profile to remember the occasion. "It was on this day 12 years ago that I played my first international match for Spain.

"Interestingly, Camacho was then the coach of the national team, and Vicente Del Bosque the coach giving me regular football at Real Madrid.

"Well, after 12 years, we are meeting again on the same day: Camacho, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Del Bosque and I.”

The international friendly saw Spain record yet another victory before the start of their European title defence. The Iker Casillas-led squad is tipped to enter footballing folklore with the bookmakers favouring them for their third international trophy,
a feat without precedence in world football.
