  2. There are 2 ways

you can get it done from a shop like Jessops, but they are expensive (£25 for 1hr)

Most mail order ones are cheaper (£20 for 2hrs)

    or

You can Do It Yourself, most PC don't come the connections (Firewire RCA) which you need to add by opening up the PC

There is a much easier way.

    Pinnacle Dazzle

    http://www.pcmediasupplies.com/shop/inde...

It plugs into a Spare USB 2 port, and the other side plugs into the Camcorder, just put the tape in press Play and use either the software supplied with Pinnacle or Windows movie maker to import video.

Once you have the Video on your Hard-Drive use NERO to burn as DVD-Video (or any dvd burning program thats supports DVD video)

    http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nero8-...

    Trail version (15 day free)

You'll need the camcorder, and make sure your PC has a DVD Writer and  Blank DVD disk

    Hope thats helpfull

  3. Hiya,

Talk to friends and family - someone will have a suitable camcorder (the cassettes will tell you what type they are - hi-8, digital-8 etc).

Borrow the camcorder AND the leads - these will be a small plug at one end (goes into camcorder) and three bigger plugs at the other end (Red, Yellow & White).

If your PC doesn't have these (and it might not) you could plug into a DVD recorder (the sort that sits under the TV) and record straight to DVD.

    Hope it helps

    Tony
