Cassidy Krug dominates Women's 3m final – 2011 AT&T National Diving Championships
Cassidy KRUG of Stanford Diving dominated the final of the Women’s 3m meet to pocket the gold medal on the first day of the 2011 AT&T National Diving Championships.
Krug pocketed the gold medal of the event, by accomplishing a total of 318.20 points. The Stanford diver remained certainly strong for the top position throughout the event. Krug met the expectations of her fans, by winning the title of the 3m event.
The gold medallist was trailed by Summer Allman of Legacy Diving, who remained just 2.45 points behind Krug and stepped on the podium for the silver medal, with a score of 315.75 points. The third position of the event was acquired by Christina Loukas of
Woodlands Diving Academy, who remained 9.25 points behind Allman and achieved a total of 306.50 points.
For the fourth best spot, the crowd witnessed the acknowledgeable effort of South Carolina Divers’s Allison Brennan, who ended with a gap of nearly twelve points behind Loukas, as she scored 294.65 points. Brennan was comfortably away from her closest diver
and Loukas’s team-member, Emma Ivory-Ganja, who acquired 272.40 points.
In the meantime, Amanda Burke of Unattached transpired for the sixth best spot of the event, as she was 6.15 points behind the fifth position holder and gained a score of 266.25 points. Burke was chased by Vennie Dantin of Auburn Diving, as she remained
2.85 points away from overwhelming the effort of her former position holder and gathered a score 263.40 points. Likewise, Cassie Weil of Tualatin Hills Dive Club, who was three points away from Dantin, earned eighth position with a score of 260.40 points.
Lindsay Lester of Miami Diving and Erin Mertz of Purdue University were sighted as the ninth and tenth finishers of the event, as they earned 256.00 and 254.15 points, respectively. Then, Unattached’s Courtney Forcucci and Woodlands Diving Academy’s Kelly
Markle were the last two finishers of the event, as they got 244.05 and 214.80 points, respectively.
In addition, the winners collected their awards and accolades on the medal rostrum after the session.
