Critics deify Cassio and imagine that he is above board.  The fact is that he is a womaniser and a go-between.  He frequents visits to Bianca whom he doesn't love.  Apart from that he is also a drunkard and misbehaves when he is drunk.  He approaches Iago for a solution for his cashiering.  It appears that he does not have a stable character.  Had been civilized, he would not have attacked Montano and Roderigo.  We expect a Florentine like him to be gentle and decent.  That he is not.              U.K.Atiyodi, Kandangali, Kerala, India
