  1. Cast irons in general are more forgiving, but you loose some of the feel.  Forged irons give you great feel when struck well, but are not as forgiving on off center hits.

I like forged wedges because of the feel, and even if you do miss the sweet spot by a little bit, on a 60yd pitch, it won't feel good but you will only loose a couple yds of distance, where as hitting a forged 5 iron from 200 yds, you miss that sweet spot you loose a lot of distance and direction.

But I have hit a couple cast wedges that I really like too.

The U grooves spin ball, more than V grooves, and I guess the Z grooves you are talking about are the zip grooves which spin the ball a lot.  All the companies are making wedges with sharp, deep , and big grooves that spin the ball a ton, and it is very noticeable when you play with them.

  2. get z grooves spin milled 56' vokey titleist oil canned finish BV design.

    best ever wedge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
