Casting for The bad seed?

Okay I might be directing the bad seed for the thespian club at school this year.........but how do I know who to cast and what scenes to use as sides? Like I mean how do I cast, what sort of things can I have them improvise at the audition etc.

like a big scene can the make it the best of the best  and how they act with others and how nervors they are they should be ready to go

since you do not know these things, you should not be directing. Theatre is an art that requires training to do. Directing is very difficult work and should only be done by the highly trained. Because so many directors have no idea what they are doing, our plays generally stink!
