After you make the selection at casting fusion you have to attend a casting conference in which you meet with agents and casting directors. It cost 695.00 to attend cause they said they have to pay for the hotel and for the agents to fly in. They also said that the agents won't be there but their representatives. Do you think this is a scam or is it legitamatie?

  1. At my Casting Fusion interview they didn't say anything like that. They said the agents and casting directors would be there. I'm really excited to attend and meet them!

    dont do it!

  3. No its not A scam. They didn't say the agents won't be there. There  will be Agents  there but not all the directors. Only the casting panel and 20 agents. There will be some representatives there if there are problems with the Agents. Besides that there is no Scam.

  4. scam. dont do it.

  5. This isn't a scam. I recently tried out for casting fusion and even though they didn't turn very many people down, that's because they would have a greater chance of more talent. My parents thought this as a scam also. But i convinced them otherwise. Why would they go to all the trouble of flying these agents out here just to scam you. But there is one thing, you definitely bring everything you have to the table or else this is just a waste of your time.

  6. Sweetie, it's got scam writen all over it.  Meeting an agent costs you nothing if they are interested in you.  The trick is you have to have done a lot of work beforehand or no legit agent will sign you.

You ned proper training and experience.  If you haven't had at least a year in good solid acting classes plus a resume full of theatre, student films, indie films, commercials, etc. then you are not ready and $700 won't make you instantly ready.

BTW, no legit anything will approach you in a mall and immediately invite you to an audition or screentest.  Get yourself into a good class and start auditioning for local theatres and student and indie films when you've been in class for a while.  Build that resume then submit to agents when you're ready.  Build relationships along the way and hopefully you'll meet people who think you're talented enough to give you a referral to an agent they know personally.  That's the best way to get in.

    good luck,

    Marianne
