Castlebride Joe favoured in the Grade A3 480 metres flat race at Swindon
The only bright entry for the Grade A3 480 metres flat race is the three-year-old black hound, Castlebride Joe. Fighting over the £82 prize money with him will be Oospagettios, Square Light, Quivers Rogue, Keeperhill Hawk and Sarahs Hawk. The 480 metres
flat event will be hosted by Swindon on Monday, 1st October.
The Peterson trained has been racing since the last season. He tried extending his racing destinations to Harlow too, but later resorted with racing at Swindon.
Head Bound’s son out of, Gurrane Beauty, had his most recent success in the Grade A4 480 metres flat race on 26th September, 2012 at Swindon over 480 metres. Breaking out of the fourth trap, he travelled in the middle, took his time to race away
from the rest of the lot, and finally made it to the other end of the wire in 29.25 seconds.
His speed gave him the margin of ¾ of a length by which he defeated, Shepherd Moon.
Filling up the third position behind the winner was, Raid The Casino.
He has drawn the third box to race from tonight, while the fourth has been allotted to Quivers Rogue.
Another short listed entry of the race is Droopys Maldini’s three-year-old black b***h, Oospagettios, out of, Coppeen Flyer. She has not won since quite a long while, and is being relied upon to bounce back into form.
The last time that she won was in the Grade A2 480 metres flat race on 13th July, 2012 at Swindon over 480 metres. She shot out of the second trap very confidently, and raced by the rail. Drawing clear of the competition, she took charge of the
track from the third position, and completed the trip in 29.30 seconds.
Winning by the margin of two lengths had the favourite entry, Two For Tango, setting as the runner-up. Taking up the third position behind the winner was, Connor Caitella.
It is a line-up where there is a high probability of any one of the candidates taking up the leading position, and setting the benchmark for the rest to follow in order to get to the wire first.
