Castles near Stuttgart Germany?

Question

Are there any cool castles to see near Stuttgart Germany? Can you go inside them or only look from outside? Can you see the castles from roads while driving?

Pretty impressive is Burg Teck - you can see it driving on the Autobahn from Munich to Stuttgart.

Ludwigsburg is very nice I heard. Stuttgart has a castle too, but don't know whether you can visit either of them.

The main castles/palaces in Stuttgart are 'Neues Scloss', 'Altes Schloss', 'Schloss Solitude', and 'Schloss Rosenstein' (Schoss means  both casle and palace) all of them can be visited and there are tours available. The alte and neue Schloss are close to the main train station in Stuttgart, the others are accesible by car or subway/bus. Close to stuttgart is Ludwigsburg with the 'Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg' and 'Schloss Favorite' (a small Hunting castle), you can get tours in the Residenzschloss but you can only see the Favorite Schloss from the outside. These casles are located right next to each other  in a beautiful part but can be seen from the road.

Other than that there are hundreds of smaller castles all over the area, some in ruins, some privately owned, but unless you have years to see it all the main casles in Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg will keep you busy. Most will also have english tours.
