The Nintendo 3DS may be getting another Castlevania game while the PlayStation 3 gets a fresh batch of board games with Dungeon Twisters.
Konami may very well have had a leak of information regarding Castlevania: Mirror of Fate’s existence as a Dutch website claims to have possession of the publishers E3 meeting schedule. One of the titles on that list is the Castlevania title.
The publisher asked the site to take the report down, however that in itself almost confirms that the title will be appearing at this year’s E3. Such is the way that the video game industry works.
The latest leak only confirms what many have been speculating for quite some time, with both Mirroroffate.com and Mirroroffate.net being registered by Konami, which could only indicate that they plan on launching a game by the same name.
At the same time reports also seem to indicate that the producer and director of the previous instalment in the game, Lord of Shadows, David Cox and Enric Alvarez will both be at the helm of the latest project as well.
Both are known for their distinctive style and the game itself seems sure to mark an appearance at this year’s E3 in one way or the other.
Moving on from the castles themselves to the dungeons that every authentic castle had. As the PlayStation Network is set to get a dose of board game madness with the turn-based dungeon escape game, Dungeon Twister.
According to the official blog, "Two teams of adventurers with supernatural powers are locked up in the same dungeon. Only one team can walk out. Will it be yours? Choose to flee or to fight. Make the dungeon's rooms rotate to help you advance...or prevent your opponent's progress."
Apparently the game can be played both online and offline as well making it an interesting option for a number of gamers who want a bit of the board game magic that they thought they had lost when the consoles had come to the forefront.
That is it for today’s round-up of gaming news at www.dbuz.com, be sure to check in tomorrow for more news on the world of video games.
