The testes produce the male hormone testosterone, and so if a male was castrated before puberty, the male would grow up being very effeminate, since the male hormone causes muscle growth, facial and body hair, coarseness of skin, deepening of voice, facility in persperation, and other physical characteristics that are associated with masculinity.

    After puberty, the male would have limited s*x drive.
