  1. I find it hard to believe you own an actual race horse. But anyway.

In order for him to be of value as a stud (since sire and dam are not of top pedigree) he would have to be the next War Admiral, and then be a good breeder on top of all that.

You can earn a staggering amount of money off a gelding at the races, and have a safe animal to boot.

If you're that concerned about keeping his line, have his s***n stored before he's gelded.

  2. No, the dam sire is looking pretty good.

  3. na let him keep his balls

  4. I would if you cannot handle him your self. But, if has nice looks and you think he will bring  in a lot of money in stud fees then i say no. He probaly is not proven yet so that is something to think about also!

  5. Wait and see if you can afford the fees. Hes young.

Check your form books and look at how many geldings win. Have a long talk with  your sis as to what you both can decide on=family matters!

He is not acting up because he is in training, but because hes a full male. Most owners don't handle thier horses much at this age, and two year old fillys can be monsters too.

Personally I would wait untill  he is older to decide unless your trainer was going to kick him out. Those are nice lines.

  6. If he is in training, ask you for your trainer's input.  An experienced trainer will have a better read on your horses ability/potential and should be able to give you good advice on the matter.
