errr.. 4 of mine are gray or gray tabbies so I guess they are like dark.  My black cat is dark and my white kitten is unlike dark. But they like to play in the early morning and sleep in patches of sunlight that come in through the window.  Is that relevant?  Is there a relevant way to answer anyway?

They are usually nocturnal animals if they are feral. There pupils become very large and their eyes glow. A cat's whiskers can help them in the dark also. In order to get through small spaces, a cat will use their whiskers to see if the rest of their body will fit.

each cat has its own personality and no i dont think they are dark some can be overly anxious and scared and seem to be mean but truth be told they are very good company and can be very nice to have around.
