Cat's fur is matted on spine right before tail. She's very clean, rest of fur soft. Please help! Thanks, Lin?

Brushing her would be ideal. It could be that she is overweight and can't reach her back so she can't clean it.

If she's a bit portly that area can be hard for her to get to and groom.

That happened with our old cat cause she was overweight. Try brushing the mats out.
