Question:

Cat Helmet for Real?

We have a cat that runs top speed through the house, the only way he stops is by running into something. Even though it may be funny, and it is, we are worried he may be lacking a bit in the intelligence department. Okay! we think he is retarded. But we Love him, and don't want him to crack his melon on something solid. Does anyone have any solutions better than an orange rind or a dog cone? Poor thing would not be able to eat with one of those dog cones on. If no one has a solution, does anyone know how to get duct tape out of cat hair? We thought of duct taping a small tupperware bowl to his head. We are really serious, this cat is the sweetest in the world, just not the smartest.

  1. Sounds like your cat might have a neurological problem, or problem with his eyesight.Would recommend trip to the vet in stead of experimenting with miniature helmets.

    As for the duct tape*sigh*

    Please be careful.

  2. I have to admit, this post is funny.  When I was growing up, I had a poodle that was....special...and he used to run head first into the sliding glass door....at least once a day.  We put stickers on the door, we put duct tape on it, we had his vision checked (it was fine)...he was just, weird.  Believe me, if he hurts himself enough, he will stop.  Obviously he isn't being hurt, but I would have a vet check him for vision, balance and any other problems,  Good luck with your ...special kitty.
