  1. yes it is being stupid

  2. It could hear mice or someting inaudible to your ears moving around up there.  Or else, you might have a ghost that it sees.  Cats are reflexive animals and mostly unintelligible, so there is some cause that is making the cat look up there.

  3. Oh dear

i have a cat and she stares at something and moves her head around asif what she is watching is moving. It freaks me out. Maybe she is aware of something up there you are not?

I had a dog before and he used to do the same thing. TThey do say animals can see things we cannot don't they?

Get into the loft tomorrow and have a good look around.

  4. stupid is as stupid does

  5. Mine does that too, but I know all she wants is for the ladder to come down!  I was decorating the whole of the inside of my house when my cat decided to live with me.  She spent last summer following me from room to room supervising and every time I got the ladder out, she would almost push me out of the way to get up it.  Imagine how excited she was when I had a loft hatch and ladder fitted!  When I open it, she is the first up and loves searching through all my junk.  I have to bribe her with treats to come down.  I haven't been up there for ages, but sometimes she stops me and meows and looks up at the loft.  I have to tell her 'No, not today'!
