  1. For some it's like being on Fantasy Island but for mine it doesn't do much. The smell gets to them and they go bananas from smelling the grass or herbs. Certain spices can do the same for humans. So it's a spicy cat recipe.

  2. We get the dried leaves in a box from Wilkinsons and put the cats toy mice into it.  They go mad and rub the toys all over their face and dribble all over the place!  They go mad for about ten minutes and then have what looks like a "come down" when they go all quiet and chilled out.

We only give it to them occasionally because they get immune to it if you give it to them very often.

Give it a try - just not on any surface that you mind getting dribbled on!!

  3. my cat loves cat nip, we have the spray version, we spray it in a toy or something similar, and he goes mental, he starts rolling about floor like an idiot its so much fun to watch

  4. yes...its very tasty...

  5. catnip is 1 of those things your cat either loves it or it hates it

its a herb and most pet stores sell it

  6. catnip is meant to be a herb that cats seem to love. KNow ones knows why. None of my cats like it but my grans cat did.

  7. Catnip, my cats love it.

It is a drug to them. It gets them high when they use it. But does nothing to humans. not that I have tried. hahahaha.

You will notice when they use it, their pupils are dilated and they get super spazzy.

    Hope this helps. :)

  8. I have heard that some cats love it and go crazy for it.  My cats don't seem to like it.

  9. Ye, i've got a catnip mouse toy on a string and my cat goes crazy at it. Basically catnip makes cats hyper and crazy. You can buy it already in toys, or in sprays, or you can even grow a catnip plant.

  10. Its the marijuana for cats. It just makes them hyper. I've given many cats in my day (they love it in the toy balls) and they go crazy!

  11. i have heard it described as cannabis for cats my lot semm to be able to take it or leave it

  12. cat nip just makes them crazy like  if it is in  toy they will play more or play longer

  13. Catnip is an herb.  Nobody is sure what it does to *some* cats..it gets them a little wild though.

  14. lol i personally haven't tried it but my kitten has. i bought her a scratch tent thing with a fish on it that had been laced with catnip. she goes berserk when she is playing with it!!!!

  15. Yes I have and my cats love it.  It's like a nice treat for them because when they smell it, they start to roll around because they love it so much.  Lol...that's what my cats do.

  16. Yeah, my cats love the stuff that much I have to sneak the tub out and not let them see it, they go mental.

  17. makes them go mad !! x

  18. It's perfectly safe and a great break in the monotony of normal life for a cat.

And, yes I actually have tried it. You'll actually find catnip in a lot of teas. It does nothing to people, but is loads of fun for the kitties!

  19. Cat nip is fantastic. This is how I describe it.

    People drink alcohol,

Cats have catnip, they go 'off their face' just like we do when we drink!!

they get really playful, eyes wide open, i always have cat nip in the house it sends my cats mental!

  20. I have four cats and only two of them like it. Although I do have a plant in my garden and a stray that just gets in the middle and rolls around like crazy. My cats prefer the dry version I think they are afraid of losing control with the fresh stuff!

  21. My cat adores it and licks the toy until it is all soggy [yuck!] She doesn't really like cat nip toys from the pet store as they are not normally very strong, however you can get a catnip spray to put on the toys. I've also got some great toys from a herbalist shop which sells catnip toys with a much stronger scent.

  22. my cats LOVE it, they sniff it for like 20 minutes and then theyre really funny and playful.
