Hi yes my cat was stung by a bee is what we believe. He has severe swelling as the vet said and can still breathe and open his eyes. He should be comeing home with us at 7:30pm Tonight (Hes under observation now) So any tips to help him heal? Any tips on how to prevent this? (We will be asking the vet this but i just want your opinion) Please seroius no mean answers to this is a very serouis situation because he has just bad reactions to this. Also he is not allowed in the house because he sheds like crazy but he lives in the garage/outside (we make him come in at night and lock up the backdoor so he can't get out) So please don't tell me to keep him inside he rattels up my father and I's allergies but we love him so much! So thanks for the help!

  1. i am not a vet but it sounds like your poor cat needs one.  if it is after hours where you are most vets have an emergency care line.  i would suggest calling and getting some professional help.

  2. So I have never had this happen but here's what I think you should do, Make up a very comfortable little "nest" I guess you could say and just keep checking on him. My kitten loves to play with bugs and she has tried to play with bees but i keep a good eye on her, I think that the cat will probably not try to play with a bee again and learn from experience but just to make sure look around his usual areas where he like to hang out and look for bee's nests and try to get rid of them if you find any. And thanks for answering my question I hope I was some help for you.

  3. There isn't much you can do to keep your cat away from bees if he's an outdoor cat.  Do you know where the bee's nest is that he got into?  I would suggest trying to find that first and getting rid of it if they're in one of his favorite places.

Other than that, you don't really have any choices unless you make him an indoor cat.

  4. i was stung by a wasp before and my mum put a peeled onion on it and it healed it and withdrew the sting. hope this helps and i dont think there is anyway you can prevent bee or wasp stings, their attracted to sweet smells as in washing powder, perfume and other things
