I know a cat that is constantly flexing her claws. Just about every ten seconds she flexes them. Why does she do this?

  1. Its a mystery to to some, but from my experience; it's one of the numerous ways that a cat will express itself, mostly when it is feeling extremely happy or content.

Although, I've had one cat that liked to flex his claws when ever he was staring down a dog & growling. It was funny to watch the dog look back & forth at the cat & at his numerous sharp claws "popping" out of his furry feet.

*Barney was an exceptionally big tom, not fat but he was quite burly. He usually won "stare downs" but some times a dog would call his bluff and they would have a go at each other.

He was always friendly with people, and only hostile to dogs.

He got run over by the owner of one of the dogs he messed up in a skirmish, several years ago.

He was kind of at fault too, being the Uno Cat of the neighborhood, he had a bad habit of strolling where ever he was going as if the cars would slow down for him. Most did slow down or go around especially when they couldn't wait for  him to get to the other side of the street.

Sometimes he'd sun himself in the middle of the street and ignore the cars going over him as if they were a passing breeze. He was 7 yrs old when he passed.

    cheers babe!!
