Cat escaped custody tonight?

Question

"Noel" escaped from the house tonight. She is under vet's orders to remain inside for at least another 1 1/2 weeks after being attacked. Any ideas as to how to get her back in? She is sitting in the field across from the house and she shows no sign of wanting to return to the house.

Does she usually run for the food dish when she hears the can opener?

Might try standing at the door and run the opener where she can hear it.

I always shake the box of cat biscuts and they come running.  perhaps you could slowly approach her, calling to her and eventually pick her up.  Maybe with a treat in hand to get her attention and keep her interested.  I know how obstinate cats can be and you may just have to wait, at least shes in sight and you can keep an eye on her.  Good luck.
