She is 1 1/2 old and it is her first litter... I have noticed lately that she is fallowing me everywhere and talks to me more then ever.

  1. shes going to go into labor anytime now. (probably within hours) best thing to do is pop in every now and then but leave her alone for he most part.

  2. sounds like she's in labour!  how exciting.

keep her in a safe warm,  protected place and monitored her progress. if her temperature drops, lethargic, unusual smell call vet asap.

check out web site below i found it very useful with my cat.

  3. keep an eye on her.  she is in the stages of labor

  4. yeah she sounds like she is about to have kittens!! has she found a place she is going to have them? in a cupboard or in a box .. somewhere safe?

Good luck hope everything goes well!

  5. she is letting you know that something strange is happening to her and hoping that you will fix it. lol.  my cat did that too, i think that it is pretty common.  she might also be nesting and wanting you near for comfort. just love her lots to reassure her that everything is alright.  good luck!

  6. sounds like labour, if she doesnt start delivering soon though, because its been 2 days, I suggest a quik trip to the vet to make sure her and the kittens are ok :)

  7. My cat did this also. Keep an eye on her and any other signs, take her to the vet's. She needs love and reassurance, like any expectant mother. Have somewhere safe and warm for her to sleep and pat her gently and talk to her. It is very scary and traumatic for mothers about to give birth and they need to feel safe and loved. After this, it may be worthwhile getting her spayed. She is also really young so it may be harder for her than an older cat.

  8. Cats usually search for a comfortable place to have their babies... often in the last few days before the births.  (Be sure she has places she can have the litter -- like, cardboard boxes with rags in them, closets, cabinets, behind things... dark places.)

They will often chatter or follow someone who takes care of them.  There's a good chances she doesn't want to be alone - so when the time comes, stay near-by if you can.  Being her first litter, she may be pretty nervous.  In homes, cats don't entirely know what to expect of the event, so they are nervous.  In the wild, or around other cats, they can get a better idea (advice, info) from others.  You are (or may be) her only comfort right now.  Just talk to her nice, be the friend you are to her, talk to her in a calm, natural vioce.  (That is, when the time comes, don't YOU get frantic.)

    Enjoy the kittens!
