I have two cats. Both have had all of their shots. They are indoor cats. I was just scooping the kitty litter and noticed blood on a big piece of kitty p**p. They seem very healthy. No problems, however one of them does vomit a lot. They do not eat people food. I take very good care of them. What could be causing this? Neither one of them is acting sick.

  1. This could be due to straining or the f***s being to big, etc. Did you only notice this once or is it frequent? If it's frequent the problem is more serious and I would take him to the vet as soon as possible. If you're worried though, you could always take him in anyways or call a local emergency vet (you can google ones in your area) and ask them their opinion. Hope this helps :)

  2. its probly nothing but to be shure take them to a vet

  3. It could be some sort of stomach problem if one of the cats vomits a lot. Are you sure it was blood? Sometimes there can be a bit of color in the f***s because of the food. Are the cats female or male? Are they spayed or neutered? If you have a female cat and she is not spayed she could just be menstruating. Either way I would take them to your vet to get checked out. I hope they are okay!

  4. It depends on several factors. Included are: any changes in food, any other symptoms, how much blood, etc.?

If there is more than a tiny bit or it is more than a couple of days in a row, you need to consult a vet right away. It isn't such a bad idea to call the vet anyway since any bleeding is important.

  5. one of them probably swallowed a chicken bone or something that their system cant digest well.

my cat ate my brothers chicken and he ate the bone! we had to take him to the vet but they said he was fine. they gave him some medicine too. =)

i was mad at my brother.

  6. it could be kidnesy etc cats do get things wrong withthem take the cat to the vest and find out they can have it checked and let you know what is wrong and find out fast.

  7. It could be something as simple as worms or something else going on. You should get the cat checked out by the vet.

  8. sounds like it could be worms, get some droncit from your vet, this will clear it up,

  9. When my cats had this problem the vet said it was colitis and gave them an antibiotic. Also, keep in mind that cats frequently do not let on that they're sick when they are. I suggest monitoring the litter and if you see any more bloody poo, take that cat to the vet - if you can tell which one did it.
