this goes along with the question about the puncture wounds that my cat has recieved. i don't remember when he had his last rabies shot, it it was the year then he past due for one, but if it was the three one, then he's up to date. but if he isn't and he recieved these puncture wounds from another cat or something that has rabies then can he recieve the shot like humans, as long as it is soon after, before it has time to develop? i guess i'll have to find out tomorrow from the vet.

  1. You're doing the right thing by taking your cat to the vet tomorrow.

  2. get a rabies shot just to be on the safe side.

the vet will probably given him some antibiotic also.

  3. Don't take any chances and take the cat to the veterinarian.

I hope nothing happens to your cat but, watch him/her closely because when sick they withdraw and don't do anything, not much appetite, and those are great symptoms of a serious sickness.

Again, don't take your chances because it is dangerous not just for it, but also for you and your family.

  4. well..if cat bitten by animals that has rabies..the cat well be die,the rabies might infect   him..or she might be going crazy  and die.hmm.so sad..

  5. If he's not current on his rabies shots, in the state I live he'd have to be quarantined 10 days before getting another vaccine, because symptoms usually will show up in that time.  You can quarantine him at home here.  Even if he's past due, the fact that he has had rabies shots in the past makes it very unlikely he'll catch rabies, even if he was exposed.  Rabies vaccine is very effective.  Most of the time, cats get bitten by other cats.

  6. Yea call the vet as soon as you can. Don't take the risk

  7. well i know its late so take it to the vet tomorrow morning or call the emergency vet hotline
