Cat has been missing for one week...HELP

Question

My cat has been missing for one week. He was last seen last Friday. He is a one year old male spayed grey tabby cat. He is indoors/outdoors however he is usually always within sight or comes back to the house when called. He loves food more than anything and is never usually away from his food dish for more than a few hours. We also have a female cat who he is best friends with (they sleep together and cuddle every day). Since "Bill" has been missing our female cat has been very sad and lethargic (she's even developed an upper respiratory tract infection ... which is likely unrelated). We have contacted the shelters, made missing posters, combed the streets and ditches and still nothing. We've also opened sheds, checked any holes or cracks on our property that he could have slipped through but still nothing. Leaving home for a week is completely out of his character and we are so worried he is dead. Any suggestions? We love him so much and are so heartbroken.

soon you will get over it MAYBE or you could get another one i was very said to when my cant went missing but then you find out that its useless to search for him because youve look everywhere you could and it could of got hit by a car or truck but dont esume the worst or youll live in sadness forever or it could of got taken to the pound if it didnt have a tag if thats the case go and look in the pound before it gets sold or put to sleep i just hope you find him you dont want to live in wonder

I feel your pain .. my little girl went missing for three weeks! on the w/e I was planning to say farewell but the Thur a phone call and someone had noticed this bedraggled little black crying 'thing' .. it was my little Mau Mau (yes she did grow up to be a little black terrorist too LOL).

I wish you the same luck with finding Bill .. I know what LanLan was like she just kept walking around the house calling/crying, looking in every room, around the yard etc.

Don't lose hope!... our cat went missing for two weeks and then mysteriously showed back up he could still come back. Good Luck

Keep checking with those shelters.  Gray tabbies aren't that uncommon.  He may be mistaken for a stray.  Don't forget to post a lost and found in your local newspaper, craigslist.com, and petfinder.com.  Good luck.  Hope you find him.  I feel bad for the other kitty. :(

i give you my smpathy but the thing i learned works but doesnt seem to is pray to mary if you dont believe just give it a shot for your cat and pray a lot and give it a day trust me if you pray god will answer

either he has found a clan of cats to live with, or has to decided to go on a very long journey somehwhere. i thought he could of made a girlfriend and thats what my (girl cat) did and came back pregnant im sorry and i hope he shows up.

Does he have a microchip?  That can make a big difference.

Keep checking the shelters and be sure to keep your other cat indoors.  It's much safer for them.

I hope he can make his way back.
