  1. If you JUST THREW it away it WILL infest your house or your cat again.

You might have brought it in from another dog or the yard.

You can buy frontline, Atvantage, Atvantex online.  Look for Foster and Smith.

    Here is a remedy.

    IF YOUR HOUSE HAS FLEAS….

I have a NATURAL remedy for getting rid of fleas in your house.

Go to the Store and buy some 20 Mule Team BORAX.

Then sprinkle it all over. Carpets, couch, bedding, pillows, pet beds, car, even wood floors. (NOT ON YOUR PET!)

    THEN VACCUME IT UP.

What Boax does is coats the eggs ... The eggs hatch deformed or unable to reproduce.

You will have to do this 2 or 3x about a week apart in order to get all the egg cycles.

FOR YOUR PET. Use the flea killer that is on the market or use a flea comb (this is also a head lice comb) especially for kittens or puppys who are too young to have insecticide put on them.

Kill the fleas that you find on the comb with soap or alcohol

  2. Take him to the vet to get him some Frontline right away.  Also, wash all the bedding and such he has been on.  I would vaccuum a couple of times a day until the fleas are all gone.  (Empty the bag outside).  The vet may give you a shampoo or powder for him, too.  I don't like the over-the-counter stuff.

  3. You can buy Capstar and Frontline Plus at drsfostersmith.com . The Capstar will kill all the fleas on your cat almost instantly and the frontline will prevent re-infestation. Use the Capstar right away. It will kill all fleas on your cat with in an hour. It is imperative that you do not skip this. Frontline (or advantage, revolution, promeris, etc.) is only effective if the flea bites the cat. Fleas have a 3 week lifespan and only feed for a few days of those three weeks, so you must use Capstar to kill all live fleas on your cat. After you Capstar add on the Frontline Plus and it will keep fleas off your cat for 30 days. Any eggs that hatch will be killed when they feed by the Frontline. Refrontline every 30 days. No vet visit required and totally safe.

Frontline contains fipronil, which spreads via the body oils killing fleas within 24 hours and ticks within 48 hours. Ticks are generally killed before they bite, decreasing the risk of tick-borne disease transmission. Approved for use on kittens 8 weeks and older.

Frontline Plus also contains (S)-methoprene, an Insect Growth Regulator, which prevents an insect from maturing or reproducing. Approved for use on kittens 8 weeks and older.

You can use FRONTLINE flea and tick control once a month and it's completely waterproof. Provide your cat with the best flea and tick protection, right from the start.

Capstar - Treats flea infestations on pets. Starts killing adult fleas on the pet within 30 minutes. One dose lasts 24 hours. Use when pets are likely to be exposed to fleas. Also may be used prior to surgery, boarding, or grooming. Active ingredient is Nitenpyram, which interferes with the normal nerve transmission of insects, effectively killing them. Not a preventive. For pets over four weeks of age. Package of 6.

  4. Well i don't know how he could have gotten the fleas but i know how you can get rid of them. First, go buy some flea shampoo and give the kitten a  bath and then get some frontline from the vet and put that on your cat when it is dry. You should also wash all the linens in your house.

  5. Get Revolution from your vet. It is the best that you can get and it works great. Ask for flea spray for your house

  6. so he is 8wks old ? So you wont have had him long

He would have got fleas from his mother.

You need to treat him with Frontline

  7. Flees can get indoors

And a way to get rid of them would be to give him a flee bath and maybe some flee medicine

Just don't buy a flee collar, they're a waste of money

  8. Is he two months old or two years old?  You wrote '2 month yr old'.

Either way, if he's older than 12 weeks, it's safe to use over-the-counter flea medications on him.  There are shampoos, powders, and sprays you can purchase at any pet store or even the supermarket.

Flea collars do NOT - I repeat, NOT - necessarily kill fleas.  They're more likely to make the living fleas jump off and live in your carpet while they search for a new host - like you.  Once your cat has no fleas, I'd put a flea collar on him.  The collar will help prevent him from picking fleas up in the first place.

  9. is the cat 2 yrs or 2 months old ??

either way buy an over the counter flea shampoo. if you want to continuously prevent your cat from having fleas i suggest you get something from the vet like monthly flea drops. do not buy the over the counter ones they are not always approved.

fleas can be carried in the home by humans. i suggest that you wash you bedding and any blankets, pillows, etc the cat has laid on. if you want you could flea bomb your home but it would be alot of cleaning afterwards.
