Cat has pink eye, any good ways to prevent others from getting it?

I have a cure already, what I want to know is what steps I can take to help keep my other cat and me from getting it. I know not to let anything that touched his eye touch our eyes, and the infected cat is wearing a cone, but is there anything else that I need to be doing?

I really don't want my 17 year old or me to come down with it too. My old cat already has a stuffy nose, I don't need to try to get eye drops down him too.....

It's only spread with direct contact.  Just keep your hands washed if your hand goes anywhere near the cats face.  The cone will prevent the cat from rubbing it's head on things.. therefore, it won't be spreading germs.  You should be fine!
