Cat is sick when he eats..Vets cant find anything!?

My 1 year old cat vanished for a day 1 week ago and returned in a very sick state,He went to the vets and they said laryngitis.3 days later he was getting worse so back he went...3 days on a drip and x-rays but no conclusion.He doesn't do well on sedation so they couldn't do much more,but the drip made him seem really well..He ate 1 meal and wasn't sick so they sent him home.He has been back 2 days and is not well again.He wants food but shortly after eating he is violently sick.And its so bad he sick till it's just bile coming up.I'm so scared..He's off to the vets in 10 minutes.They said they may have to do exploratory surgery if it continues but he doesn't handle sedation at all and cutting him open seems really extreme..I love him so much...Can anyone give me ANY advice please..Money is no object i just want him well.All we've been giving him since he came home is small amounts of cooked white fish if that helps...thank you.

Im so sorry, this must be horrible for you to go through.

I have never had to deal with anything like this.  

Could it be something to do with the food?  I know you said you have been giving him white fish but still maybe something about the food?  or have you brought in a sample of the vomit for your doctor?

Try a specialized kitten food (something like Science Diet) that has a lot of protein.

You could also buy "milk" at the pet store and a bottle and feed him that way just to get some nutrition. It's not really milk,  but it's meant for little kittens and convalescing cats.

If that doesn't work, take him back to the vet and have them watch him for a few days. An IV drip may at least get him some vitamins.

I'm sorry your going thru this. I know how hard it is.

There can be many different reason for this.

I did have the same experience with a bad outcome. Our Vet (great) could not find the problem for the longest time Until the vomit smell changed to bowel. At that point they did exploratory surgery and found a tumor in the intestine.

This does not mean that this is what is wrong with your baby.. I wanted to share because I went thru these symptoms and it's worth thinking about.

I had to let go of my cat because his life would not be the same after they removed most of his intestines . I couldn't do that to him.
