Cat lives after attempted euthanasia by animal clinic?

I am trying to gather details about a story I heard years ago about a cat that was going to be put down at a shelter because she couldnt be adopted. I believe the story went something like she was placed in the chamber with dozens of other animals and when staff went in to remove the bodies she was found to still be breathing. Instead of trying euthanasia again the staff nursed her back to health and she was eventually adopted. I am trying to gather this info for a paper I am writing. I have tried to google it but havent had any success. I am hoping that someone has heard this story and can offer details that would make my search easier. Thanks.

Wow, thats so amazing if its true. Guess it wasn't the cats time. Sorry I don't know anything about it.
