  1. yer it is real we used to own one but we got them removed as we  didn't think it was fair on the cat it died in the operation though :(

  2. Are there actual bones to the wings? It kinda looks like matts but kinda odd they formed wings like that

  3. I don't think it is any more real than the jackalope

  4. That photo COULD be real - there are cases similar to this reported. Google for "Twisty Cat" for a related example of this.

The last paragraph of the article you linked gives the right explanation :

"Geneticists have a less romantic theory. They believe it could be a genetic defect, a skin condition, or the result of poor grooming. "

Just as a cat might grow what appear to be 'wings', the rumor of jackalopes (rabbits with antlers like a deer) may not be a hoax, it can be explained by a condition that causes normal rabbits to grow 'horns' -  http://ww2.lafayette.edu/~hollidac/jacks...

EDIT : This is off-topic, but the answer above mine mentions frogs with extra legs. This was thought to be a result of mutations, possibly causes by pollution. It has been discovered that there is a natural mechanism for this - a very very strange parasite. For a very interesting read about this, check out :

  5. I do not believe this particular photo.  But I do believe that mutations are possible.

  6. Yeah, I heard about that. It could be real, I'd love to believe it but I'm not entirely convinced. It wouldn't be as cute as a normal cat though, it would be more of a fairy cat.

  7. Some mutations can crop up,as frogs can develop with double legs so can cats, this could be extra odd paws at the side or something.

Or it could be just a fake. Who knows?

    Thanks,x*x
