I have three cats and three boxes that I clean twice a day, I have one cat that pees besides on certain box and poos in the hall where I have no box. It is to the point that I might need to get rid of her. She never used to be like this.

  1. When my cat gets a bladder infection, the first sign is going to the bathroom on the floor in the garage.  So I would take her to the vets soon.

  2. They say sometimes they will do that if they have a urinary tract infection.  Also, the cat may not have a chance to do those things with the others.  You know they like to pee and p**p in private.  Also, they say that they like to have the grainy feeling on their feet like sand.

  3. Maybe obvious, but did you by chance change the type of kitty litter? My little darling has always been such a good girl about using her box. Once I tried switching brands on her, and she pooed in the bathroom sink because she  did not approve of the new type of litter, and meowed until we changed  it back. Kitties are fickle little critters for sure.... good luck!!!!

  4. put the little box where she likes to pee and p**p, also you can try putting them outside, if not them spray them with water everytime they do something bad, and praise them when they do somehthing good!

    hope i can help

  5. She might have a uti take her to the vet to get check and medicines, don't get rid of her just because of that.

  6. Yes check for infections, also some cats don't like dirty litter boxes, and if you have the box too close to the walls some cats don't use the box either, so try moving it out a bit and give her some room to put her head when she is in the box and maybe add one more box if you cant keep it clean a few times a day.  MOST IMPORTANT, she is yours for life, what if your mom gave you up if you had issues? Come on be nice she is your baby! I need to add one of my cats had inflammatory bowel disease and she didn't go in the box either vet says it was due to her pain in going she associated it with the littler box.. have her checked out she is worth is.. she may be in pain!! GOOD LUCK

  7. Have the cat checked for an infection at the vet.  If that is not it then the cat may not like the litter for some reason or the other cats are chasing it from the pans.  The pet store has other textures of cat litter.  You do need to put the pan in the hall for a while and slowly move it to a new location.  Good luck.

  8. I'm not quite sure what brought on the change, but I'll tell you what worked for me...Don't give up on kitty until you try the "feliway" diffuser! It's used for undesirable behavior like what you're experiencing. I swear by it- it worked WONDERS for me!! You can buy it on line or at some pet stores- please give it a try, I'm sure it will help

  9. I dont know why cats do that but I used to have an open air turtle tank and I had my cat for 2 years. One day she decided to say F the litter box and started peeing and pooping in the turtle tank. I had to get rid of her, sad to say. I wish I knew why they just start going all wierd.
