Question:

Cat owners: Is your cat a tail wagger?

My cat wags her tail all the time, like a dog. She wags it when she's happy, when she's mad, and when she wants to play.

I didn't really think anything of it until some family friends came over and commented on how often she does it.

  1. My cat does this too! He wags his tail when we talk to him, when you put food in the bowl, etc.  He wags it in an "S" shape to show he's happy...it's the cutest thing watching him.  He's more of a social cat, and acts more like a dog than a cat because he always follows you, wants to play, go outside, and meows constantly

  2. yep! my cat does it diffrently for her emotions, like if shes mad of doesnt want you to tuch her she wags her tail really fast in sharp movements, whens shes getting food she wags her tail slowly and pointing up!

but cats just like all animals have their own personalitys and they all have their own mannerisms!

  3. Yup...my cat Lilah does it all the time...it just kinda sways back and forth all the time.  Happy, playful....whatever.....it's always waggin'.

  4. Mine does it when he wants to play or if I'm not petting him soon enough, he will actually hit me with his tail to get my attention.

  5. My cat is....there are different wags for different emotions.  You can read about it!! Too hard to explain.  Sorry

  6. Cats have personalities! Not all cats flick their tail when they're angry, some are just tail-happy. It's almost as varied as meowing, some are super vocal and some barely make noise. My cat has a meow that sounds like a squawk, and the only time she uses it is when she is confused! It's adorable... but she only wags her tail when getting ready to pounce.

  7. My Jack does that!!  He has a really long puffy tail and wags it at me when he wants attention.  He will stand next to me on the bed and put it right in my face if I've slept in too much.  Nothin like waking up with a nose full of cat hair...

  8. When a cat wags it's tail, it means that it's pissed off or agitated...not happy.
