Cat owners..ya know those "claw sheaths" that a cat sheds off to expose the new, sharp claw underneath?

How long was the biggest "claw sheath" you have ever found from your cat? just found one 3 inches! (Stuck in the couch)

House cats are rarely 19 pounds.  Sounds like yours may be part bobcat or something.  If he is that big, it may have come from him.

I suggest getting the un-neutered male fixed.  I bet it smells like cat pee all through your home, even if he is not spraying. I got my male cat fixed.  The cat box smelled SO much better.  I live in a small apartment, and before he was neutered,  I could sit in another room and know he peed within minutes of him doing it.
