okay, i'm 14, and i got a cat for my 10th birthday, so he's about 4 years old. he has NOT been nuetered yet, but we are hopefully planning on getting it done soon. we have no other cats or animals in the house, but there are 4 humans over the age of 14 in the house, besides one that goes to college every year and comes back from summer. so lastely like the last 2 months my MALE cat had been peeing like little pees everywhere! it smells horrrible! and my family cannot stand it anymore, i love my cat becase it was my first animal, i don't want him to have to go, but if he doesn't stopp peeing we're going to have to give him away. NO he isn't an outdoor cat, nor do we want him to be one. do you think that getting him neutered will help? or what are other tricks that we can use to get him to stop! hopefully neutering! but please give all suggestions! i love himmm, and i want to keep him but not if he always keeps under my bed and on curtains!

  1. First he should be checked by a Veterinarian to rule out a UTI.  Also it really would be best for his health to be neutered.  You also must clean up the soiled areas really really well or else he will continue to soil the house.   I like to use X-O cleaner and you can purchase this online at http://www.revivalanimal.com/store/p/280...

You can also try Natures Miracle which you can purchase at Petsmart or Petco.   Best of Luck

  2. male cats are very territorial, and if you don't get him neutered your house will smell forever and a day and you will not be able to get rid of the smell for months,if ever..

  3. I agree the first thing to do is take him to the vet for a checkup to see if he has a medical problem. Getting him fixed should be a priority.

Have you tried changing the type of litter you use?  How often do you clean his litter box?

Is it possible that there may be cats outside that he sees or has seen, to have him behave in such a territorial way?

Good luck, I would hate for you to have to give your cat away.

Usually a cat that isn't around other cats doesn't spray/pee this way,
