  1. I my cats were strays until i caught them there are a lot of stray cats out there that need homes

  2. if you get them from a rescue centre its usually about 80 pounds but that does cover neutering fleaing worming and vaccines.if you want a fancy cat you are looking at 150-350 pound

  3. I don't suggest buying from a pet shop. There are TONS of free kittens being given away every day. Check your classifieds in the paper, or look on craigslist.

Kittens are probably the cheapest pet you can get, they're almost always free, unless they're a pure bred AKC registered.

Also the humane society has kittens and cats alike which you can adopt. In my area the adoption fee is around $50. Call your local humane society to find out.

  4. What you pay for when you get a non-pedigree cat is the vaccinations, spay/neutering, and deworming.  Cats and kittens aren't really free.  It's generally better to go to a shelter or good foster care program and adopt a kitten from them.  They will have tested the kitten for disease and given them a lot of the initial health care.

You can call around to local shelters to see how much they charge and what services are included (mainly, are their kittens already fixed?).  I'd guess the cost would fall between $50 and $100 depending on the region and whether or not they've already fixed the kitten.
