Question

i am 12 and i BEGGED my mom and dad for a cat

i got one and it is infested with fleas

i didnt have problem with it until my legs looked horrible

and i found out fleas could Live in your hair...

we got some stuff to kill the fleas on him

killed the fleas of the cat but they are still in the carpet

is there any thing to solve this problem

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

i think that u should use the flea extermination bomb.  my dogs used to have fleas and we used that. it does work, just make sure that u take the living animals out of the house for a few hours, as well as yourself or then it could be harmful.  double check that your cat is now free of fleas because if there are still fleas in the house, then your cat can get infected again.

Whatever you do ...DONT put more than one flea prevention on your cat in 30 days and dont use Hartz products or flea collars...go to the vet anything else is pure POISON...as far as the fleas in the carpet you will need to get a flea bomb that not only kills fleas but flea eggs as well...or else you will start the whole process over again

The fleas in your carpet will die off with you doing nothing at all.  Since you have treated the host(the kitty)they cannot survive.  If you just can&#039;t wait till they die off them you can bomb the room or the house, but you all and your pets have to leave the house for hours if you do that.

IF YOUR HOUSE HAS FLEAS….

I have a NATURAL remedy for getting rid of fleas in your house.

Go to the Store and buy some 20 Mule Team BORAX. (you find it in the isle where the clothes soap is)

Then sprinkle it all over. Carpets, couch, bedding, pillows, pet beds, car, even wood floors. (NOT ON YOUR PET!)

THEN VACCUME IT UP.

What Boax does is coats the eggs ... The eggs hatch deformed or unable to reproduce.

You will have to do this 2 or 3x about a week apart in order to get all the egg cycles.

FOR YOUR PET. Use the flea killer that is on the market or use a flea comb (this is also a head lice comb) especially for kittens or puppys who are too young to have insecticide put on them.

Kill the fleas that you find on the comb with soap or alcohol

There is an amazing product made from Boric Acid that is easy to use and does the trick. &quot;Fleas Away Boric Acid treatment&quot;

This powder is to be sprinkled on your carpet and then sweep in into the carpet - dont vacumn it out right away. Best to use after you have already vacumned and throw that vacumn bag out.

After you sweep it into the carpet, the fleas will ingest the powder and then die. when the egs hatch, they do the same. Then a week later when you vacumn your carpet, you will be vacumning away all the teeny dead fleas.

You will need to deflea your cat as well, so the live fleas quit feeding on him. You can get a gentle flea bath soap at the pet store or take him to the vet. Either way, he needs to be treated too. I used a Cat Tea Tree Shampoo which has the least chemicals, and does the trick.

I moved into a house with my cat and the house was flea infested, so my poor cat was suddenly attacked. These products were the only ones that did the trick,and we have never had fleas since.

seven dust and a flea bomb that takes two hours i have found to be the best. seven dust is available at any farm store sprinkle on carpet mattress couch floor rugs or any thing and vacumn.  hope it works for you.

I just came back from my vet&#039;s office (for another) but I was talking to a man that said he uses 20 Mule Team Borax to rid of fleas in his house. Just sprinkled in the carpet and under the furniture cushions, left a few days and then vacuumed. Never saw another flea. The borax extracts all of the moisture and they die - eggs as well. This may work on ants in the house and won&#039;t hurt the kids or pets.

Might try that....... or get the new flea medicine called Vectra.  You can only get this from a vet and not sold online.

there is a product on the market that you could put a flea treatment on your carpet, but i can&#039;t remember the name of it. when my cats had fleas i had to get a professional exterminator. it was horrible. i feel for you.

Unfortunately, you will have to treat your whole house for fleas. They can &quot;ride&quot; on your clothes and will be anywhere in the house that you or your cat has been. I removed all dishes from the house, found a place to stay overnight and then flea bombed the house. If you do this, no people or animals can be in the house. Also, you have to remove anything that you would eat or eat off of, including all food, so it doesn&#039;t get contaminated with the poison. Best of Luck....I learned my lesson to never bring a flea-infested animal into my house the hard way, like you!
