Question

Ok, so I my dad found these kittens about a few months back, they were just priceless. Two black males and two grey girls, with a few white markings on them. Now 1 grey kitten got a home a month or two ago. So we've had the 3 other kittens. Now normally you think black cats to be mysterious non sociable and so on. But they were just the sweetest and most adorable cats ever. One of them would actually let you rub is belly and he fall right to sleep and just purr all day. The other one would watch over his brother and just watch over his brother and play, and cuddle. My main concern was them getting good homes, being black cats, no one really cares about them. They just got the best home that they could get today. The guy was a cat expert and love cats, I mean he knew detail after detail, and didn't judge appearance. ButI was aware of this before but, being it is almost fall, I was worried about people getting the cats for the wrong reason, you see sometimes people take black cats and do these "rituals" on halloween and sacrifice them, or black cats just get plain old abused or neglected. Now my question is, why do people do these ritual things? How exactly do they do it? Is it to a specific religion? What is it suppose to mean? How can people be so cruel?

I CAN RELATE !!!!  I RESCUED TWO CATS FROM A METH LAB AND HAD NO INTENTION OF KEEPING THEM. BUT I COULDN&#039;T FIND THEM HOMES.

THAT WAS EIGHT YEARS AGO.

YA KNOW.... SOMETIMES IT JUST HAPPENS THAT WAY.

Black cats are used for everything from haunted house props to ritual sacrifices. Some of it is related to religion but most is just plain old mean, heartless people who want to get a kick out of torturing a cat. Most of these rituals are done by teenagers who saw it done on a horror movie. Black cats need extra protection from these freaks this time of year. Lots of shelters won&#039;t even adopt a black cat to anyone from September to November.

Are you kidding me?? I am wiccan and right at this point I have a black and white cat and an all black one that had 8 babies between them. Four of them are black, and I don&#039;t plan on sacrificing any of them. I don&#039;t mean to sound rude but do a little research before you bash someones beliefs. Wiccans worship the earth and the energy all around us, and maybe even knows a few cool herbal remedies whats so scary about that??
