are there any home remedies for an upper respitory infection in a cat?

is there anywhere online to get clavamox without a prescription?

  1. You need to get your cat checked out by a VET! URI's will only get worse if not treated properly and could lead to secondary infections. Do not give your cat any medication without your vet's approval. If you have other cats, they will likely catch it too as it is very contagious! Do not wait till the cat stops eating because at one point if his nose is congested, he will not be able to smell the food!


  2. There is really no medicine to treat a cat's URI.  Medications that vets give often treat the symptoms, much like over the counter cold medicine.  Just like a cold, if your cat really has a URI then it will eventually go away....and likely come back again as cats with previous URIs are more likely to get another one.

    Something I used to do for my kittens with gunky eyes is just to clean them with a warm wet wash cloth.  Even eyes that are stuck shut with gunk can be gently worked with warm water, a cloth and a little patience.
