Im just wondering if anyone had this happen to their animal. He has not eaten in days, all he does is sleep and looks very sad and isnt acting like himself always wants to be inside never likes to go out and play any more. We dont usually let him out but my parents decided to let him out a few times and about 3=4 days ago he came home and puked and ever since then he hasnt been himself and everynight he pukes. Ive looked up poisoning sypmtoms but he isnt having any of them besides puking. I dont know what could be wrong? I cant make him eat or anything he looks like he has lost weight in the past few days too.. Help me out please if you have any idea what could be going on? They think he ate something bad but he would have alredy died by now i think.

  1. Has he been going to the bathroom? He may have a blockage.

In anycase, you should take him to the vet. If he can't keep food down, he is in danger of suffering from malnutrition, and it is an indication that something is VERY wrong.

  2. Take him to the vet NOW. Emergency!! It's not good for a cat to stop eating. If he stops drinking water, that is worse. The cat has to be seen by a vet. Poisoning could be an issue but you will not know unless he is seen by a professional. Do not self-diagnose using the internet. Please do not let your cat suffer any longer. Take. Him. To. The. Vet. N.O.W.

I am in full agreement with Dances With Woofs. How can you be so irresponsible and wait this long (and even now only ask for advice on Yahoo?) What is with you? Will you do the same with your child?

  3. I think you should take him to the vet.

  4. Have you felt around his body? This happened with my dog as well and i found that she had tumours in her neck and stomach. Get him to a vet as soon as possible.

  5. There are simply too many bad possibilities here; he could have been poisoned, could have cystitis, could have many other problems.  So, please take him to the vet right away.

  6. Poisoning is possible, or maybe he swallowed some kind of foreign object.  My friend's Basset Hound swallowed a rock, she didn't realize what he had done.  He started vomiting, wouldn't eat, and became very lethargic.  She took him to the vet, they x rayed him and found that a rock was causing a blockage in his intestines, it was too big to pass on through.  They had to operate right away, there wasn't a choice, he would have died.  Take him to the vet, he's bound to be suffering.  Get him some help, it's the humane thing to do.

  7. Lethargy and not eating are two big reasons to take your cat to the vet. Lethargy alone in an eight month old kitten is cause for worry. It sounds like he has gotten bit by something, eaten something he shouldn't, or any number of other dangers could have gotten at him outside. He really does need to see a vet.

  8. Take the cat to the vet. When your new baby comes, are you just going to sit there and guess what might be wrong should he get sick? No,I don;t think so.Your cat deserves to at least be treated by a vet when it is sick.Set a good example for your baby and let him grow up learning to be kind and responsible towards animals.

  9. Take your cat to a vet ASAP

  10. take him to the vet. if you don't, he may eventually seem better but there still could be something wrong. take him to the vet and let a professional check him out. a beloved pet is worth the time and money.

  11. The cat needs to go to the vet.

  12. Please take your cat to the vet immediately.  He may have been poisoned,  or eaten something that is causing a blockage  At this point he is probably also dehydrated and needs sub-Q fluids. Only your vet can help you at this point.
