  1. If it will be awhile until you get her to the vet (i know it says tomorrow, but some people on here tend to stretch the truth a bit) Give her some pedialite to keep her hydrated until you can get her to the vet. :)

  2. feed it grass and give it milk

  3. Just be sure to keep her water dish full so she doesn't dehydrate and call the vet in the morning and see what he says.  If there are any recent changes in diet that's probably the problem.  The vet will know more definitely call him if you're unsure of what to do.  It's just like with people though, they want to let it run it's course to get rid of any toxins or bugs that might be present.

Just hope she's making it to the box in time and keeping herself clean.  It can get really bad if the kitty is really sick and has a hard time taking care of herself.

  4. There is no substitute for the experience and expertise of a veterinarian.  In saying that, here is some advice:

Take away her food.  Leave her water.  This gives her gut a chance to recover.  After 24 hours, offer small servings of chicken and rice.  Worm her to ensure parasites aren't the problem.

If she dosen't improve...see veterinarian immediately.  Take a sample of her diarrhoea as it will help the vet determine the cause.

  5. milk can cause cats to have diarrhea so if you are giving him that i would lay off on it.  it could also be a bug so try to give him plenty of fluids.  if the diarrhea doesnt settle definitely bring him to the vet.  i hope your kitty will be ok.

  6. Changing her food can cause that too.

You'll need the vet to rule out something more serious.

Plain yogurt and pure ground pumpkin can help.  The live cultures in the yogurt can help her digestive system and the fiber in pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling, plain pumpkin) can bulk up her stools.  Unflavored pedialyte can be given to help with dehydration.  But I would talk to the vet before trying any of those. I have used those methods myself, but that doesn't make them ideal.

The first thing is to figure out the cause, if the diarrhea is only a symptom then just treating it won't really help.

If you changed her food to that kitten food then switch her back and see if that helps.  Then you can gradually mix in more and more of the new food to help her adjust to it. good luck!
