Hi I wanna get an internet connection to a room in my house only about 125ft away. I have a cat5e cable already run to about 100 ft. that connects another computer. Through google i found I might be able to connect the 100ft line to my room by using an extender/repeater or something. This i think would be easier to do if its possible and inexpensive? Is it? Should I do something else? How Much for a cheap one? Quality of the signal? Or should I just run the cable 125ft?

  1. You can do it with a switch.  They are cheap.  Search online for ethernet switch and buy a couple to string them together with however long of cable you have.  $20 or so.  Quality of signal, etc should not be an issue.
