Catalina island,ca---next week, what is there to do?

I am going on carnival cruise, ports include catalina island, then Baja Mexiico, what is there to do,is it to cold for water activities?

I was asking similar question a few days ago.. We are going there in July.. I was told.. shopping is a big thing on the Island.. lol. Camping, sailing.. My sons' dive outside of Catalina too. Beautiful area.. Have fun!

hahahah!  that's funny - my parents & good friends are going on this same cruise & we were JUST kicking around the same question!  I'll be interested to know what others suggest:

1.) Walking along the waterfront from Casino Point

2.) you can rent golf carts to tool around the island.

3.) Botanical Garden

4.) Go on the inland motor tour.  it's pretty interesting to see the buffalo.
