how do others respond to holden and his attitudes? specific examples..... how does holden respond to circumstances? to other people? example.

  1. Holden is very analytical. He criticizes people for things such as being phony when he is phony himself ( he lies constantly)

    he is on the cusp of adulthood and is so depressed by this.

    Love love love this book. I have a first edition copy of it. Best book ever written

  3. Holden was in charge of looking after all the equipment for one of the teams at school, and he forgot it. When everyone ostracizes him for forgetting it he's really offended and he acts like he doesn't deserve that treatment. His immaturity and insecurity really show through.
