  1. Just practice. Have someone pitch to you. Have someone throw balls in the dirt to you to practice blocking. Work on your arm for throwing to the bases. Remember for blocking balls in the dirt to knock them down. Get on your knees and cover your 5 hole with your glove.

  2. really? man go play catch with your dad if your scared. catching is not even that hard

  3. don't forget about the runners on base and watch how close you are to the batter

  4. Play OF, you basically do nothing. Baseball is not even that hard to play.

  5. The main thing for you to do as a catcher is to give the pitcher a good target.  In your age group get the glove up early and keep it still so the pitcher can focus.  You will need to learn to frame the pitch.  What that is - is bring those close pitches on the inside and outside in as you catch them.  This will give the umpire the impression of a better strike than they may have been.  You will also need to learn to block the ball in the dirt.  Drop down and get your glove and body in front of the ball.  Never reach for a ball shift your weight out to get your body in front.  This will keep the ball from getting past you and giving up extra bases to any base runners.  You will also have to be aware of the other players on the field.  Do not set up until all the other position players are set and ready for the pitch.  Good luck.
