My friend and i have plans to go into some hills near by where we live to catch wild rosy boas. Do we need a license to do that? I tried looking it up but could find anything. Any web site that could help me would be much appreciated.

~thank you

  1. if you are set on it call parks and wildlife and ask them what the regulations are for catching wild snakes.  with catching wild snakes they usually have parasites...internal and external.  the vet bill to get rid of all the parasties costs as much if not more than just going and buying one.

  2. Two words: Don't bother. After catching them, you would have to domesticate them, and I'm not convinced that's so easy to do with snakes. Of ANY variety.

  3. Depending on what state you live in , it very well could be Illegal.  Also its allot better to get a snake from a breeder, you dont know what type of parasites you will bring in your home if you have no experience dont even try because you will end up killing the snake.

  4. Don't try to catch them, you shouldn't take a wild animal from its habitat. If you do anyways i hope it bites you.
