How can I use terms to categorizes almost any nationality of people?

For example, can I use the western girls and the asian girls?

Does that cover most of the nationalities?

  1. Why do you ask this?

Why do you only want to categorize only girls?

    Or are those only examples?

Why do you want to categorize anyone anyways?

  2. Yes, you can use terms Western and Eastern adding Culture, like:

Girls of the Western Culture, Girls of the Eastern Culture, that would make it more specific.

In similar way, you can use Ethnic Culture, Rural Culture or Urban Culture and so on. It covers any nationality.

  3. Why bother?

And what about the African girls?

    Strange question.

PS. you asked if The Western Girls and The Asian Girls covers "most of the nationalities".

Clearly it does not, so that made it a strange and badly worded question.

Fortunately, there are decent people (other than me!) who are prepared to guess what it is you want to know and answer accordingly.

  4. I think your question is a great one with no easy answer. You have to be very careful categorizing anyone as it may offend them. In the U.S., it is common to categorize people by race and ethnicity. Some examples may include Asian Americans, Asian American Women, African Americans or people of color. Although this may sound like it is politically correct, people still may be offended by these categorizations. Some Americans prefer to be called Black Americans or Black women instead of African Americans or African American women because of their backgrounds.  The bottom line is you cannot make everyone happy. If you are talking about just a few people, it is best to ask them how they classify themselves.

With regard to other posters and their comments, I do not think they understand the complexity of the social world we live in. Categorization is something we all do as people whether or not we admit it. Of course categorizing people is not always fair (i.e. stereotyping). Nevertheless, we all do it to try to make sense out of the world we live in. Furthermore, it is something that has a purpose. Sometimes it is necessary to categorize people as poor, women, g*y, African American, old, obese and so on to look at social problems and try to get resources to fix them.

I hope this helps. Best Wishes!
