Catflap to paw away the AON Hewitt Jubilee Handicap at Warwick
The Class 6 AON Hewitt Jubilee Handicap will be hosted by Warwick over six furlongs on Monday, 18th June. The race has attracted a lineup of thirteen three-year-old runners who will contest for the £1,704 prize money. Majority of the contestants
have no experience at the track while a few who did give it a try could not come out successful.
One of the entries known for making smooth performance through the three career outings is Catflap, One Cool Cat’s three-year-old bay filly out of mare, Consignia.
She penetrated into the racing career on 23rd March in the Horse Racing Free Bets With Freebetting.Co.UK Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Wolverhampton over six furlongs. Catflap ended fourth in the race that was won by Dreaming Of Rubies.
Finishing the closest was Nevaeh while the 4/5 favourite runner up of the race was, Trail Of Tears.
Her second career outing saw her qualifying as the runner up in the Free Horse Racing Bets At Freebetting.Co.UK Maiden Stakes on 14th April at Lingfield over six furlongs.
She struggled till the end as she was adrift from the winner, Khubala, only by a length. Catflap was paired up with Nicky Mackay and the two were soon joined by Langley Vale on the other side of the wire.
The 6/5 favourite of the race, Mrs Huffey, ended fifth on the track of ten.
On 30th April the three-year-old ended third in the Betfair Supporting Grassroots Racing Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton over six furlongs. The race was won by the evening’s favourite, Furbelow, who led the track of twelve by four and a half
lengths.
She has not raced at Warwick before rather all the three times that she raced during the new season were at a different venue. Today she has the chance of making the most out of the race by notching up the consistency of her performance to success.
Derek Haydn Jones trained has to encounter competition today as the line-up for the race is quite versatile and talented. Majority has settled well into the new season, some have struck the seasonal win while others have tried maintaining a certain level
of performance.
