Where can I recycle CRT's?

I will pay if I have to. I have old monitors broken down to just the CRT's. I believe these are hazardous and would like to recycle them - but where!?

  1. Where I live lots of things can be recycled at our local recycling center run by the city. I'm sure there is one in your area. If they do not take them I'm sure they'll know who will.

  2. Check with your local garbage hauler, like CF bulbs there are hazardous materials in a CRT.

The waste management company that picks up my trash, charges $25 per CRT or TV.  They have one or two days a year that they offer it for free too.

Call around, I'm sure you'll find a place to drop it off for free or relatively cheap.  $25 is cheap in my opinion.

Just make sure they're legit, otherwise it will end up in the trash...

National Geographic had an issue recently about e-waste.  Pretty shocking...

  3. I did the Google for you:

  4. Local recycling centre - free!!
