  1. Abortion -- a heinous sin and crime

    Death penalty -- a sin

War in Iraq -- a sin

    g*y marriage -- an oxymoron

    2008 election -- Go Obama!

Gov't aid for the poor -- yes, as long as it does not become a lifestyle.

Role of arts in school curricula -- there are many ways to express our faith in God and the beauty of his creation.

You didn't ask:  Evolution -- of course the universe evolved -- but under God's watchful eye and on his terms and in his time.  Nothing took place without God's expressed word.

  2. Arts in school?

That's sort of out of left field...

  3. 1- Pro-choice but you have the right to have your own view

2- Pro IF the evidence is 100% pointing towards the person and if the intentions were of murder. If it was an accident then no

3- They CANNOT marry in church, so give them that civil rights. Has nothing to do with the Church

4- I was all for Hillary but you know how that came out, so i choose the lesser of 2 evils:Obama

5- For it. WHy wouldn't we help those who can't help themselves?

6- Arts are important, i think if we expose the kids more to it, they'll have more options in life.

  4. 1) Murder;

    2) Wrong;

    3) Misguided;

    4) No such thing;

    5) Obama is best choice of two lesser evils;

    6) When it's open ended it's never ending, there has to be a timeframe and a limit;

    7) Absolutely essential.

  5. Wrong.

    Eye for an eye.

    War is h**l.

    Not mine to judge.

We'll see what the USA says.....

How poor is poor? If you are a drug user and you're poor-enough said.

Arts are important for creative thinking minds.

  6. Against abortion

    Against death penalty

Mixed on g*y marriage- I am not g*y so it doesn't concern me.

    against the war

    voting for McCain

    for any aide for poor

    for arts in school

  7. - womans choice, its not my life nor responsibility to govern other peoples lives.

-no one has the right to take another life.

-still dont understand how they justified that war. we need to leave.

-again, they answer to god not to me, if they dont interfeer with my beleifs. lets all just live our lives and get along.

    -still up in the air...

-to a point, as long as it is done in a way to help them get on their feet and become productive members of society and not a handout.

-very important to help young minds grow.

  8. Abortion? Needs to be eliminated

The death penalty? Needs to be eliminated

The war in Iraq?  All war is wrong, sometimes it seems to be necessary, we should win it and export our democarcy to all the middle east.  it may have beeen necessary, but it's gone on way to long.  However, amercian casualties are not that grea, yet even one is too many.  We need to bring osama bin laden to justice.  we can't forget he horrendous act of 9/11/01.  I support our country and our troops, ut obviously i am frsutred by how long this is taking.  War is wrong being necessary doesn't make it righ, but tragic.

g*y marriage?  What those are two words that just ddon't look right next to each other. homsexuality is a mental illness, people who suffer from it should be loved and encouraged in their therapy, but should remain celabate.

The 2008 election? I am a kennedy democrat both John and robert, not so much lttle brother ted.  I am a democrat, but I wil not support g*y marriage and abortion.  I am a liberal in the vain of RFK, who wouldnot support either of those issues, and was very catholic.

Government aid for the poor?  We should lift them up, most people int he us want to make it and all some people need is a hand up sometimes.  No one in this country shouul dbe homless, this is a bligh and a direct coment on our society.

The role of the arts in school curricula? It should be as highly valued as anyothe subject, both in the doing and in the apreciation.  the creative mind in any medium is a gift from God, and is not always esily harnessed or coralled, this truth should be honered.

"...We will find neither national purpose nor personal satisfaction in an endless amassing of worldly goods... The gross national product measures neither our wit nor our courage, neither our wisdom nor our learning, neither our compassion nor our devotion to country. It measures everything, in short, except that which makes life worthwhile."

    -- Robert F. Kennedy, 1968

I am sorry but barack obama is nothing like this man, alot more of america died in 1968 than we relaized.

if RFK were suddenly to come back to life and campagin now; he would appear to us in this time as if he were an alien dropped down from outer space.

    Why is that?

    Thanks.

  9. too many questions, if you separate them I would gladly answer each one of them

  10. Abortion safed my ***

    yes to the death penalty

just blow those *** holes up

    s***w g**s

    Obama

no its there falt they are poor

    no

    Your welcome

  11. Abortion? Murder of innocent life and is only justified if carrying the child to term will (not may) cause the death of the mother.

The death penalty?  With the ability to lock people up for life, this is not needed.

The war in Iraq?  A waste of time, money and human life.  We should never have INVADED Iraq.

g*y marriage?  If it is not allowed, then the rights of married couples should be extended to g*y couples - inheritance, tax benefits, health benefits, legal rights, etc.

The 2008 election?  Another election with two poor choices.  I may vote Libertarian.

Government aid for the poor?  Our society has a moral obligation to aid those who need help.

The role of the arts in school curricula? Arts are needed in the school.  You need to feed the soul as well as the mind.

  12. I am pro-choice.

I think that for some criminals, the death penalty is the best choice - and for others, they would suffer more being left to spend all their days in prison. I think it would free up space/money in govt spending, as we spend so much to keep 'em all comfy in prison.

The war in Iraq is, in my opinion, one of the greatest blunders in American history.

    g*y marriage is awesome.

The 2008 election is a ringshow media circus full of cheap tricks (just look at McCain's VP choice). I will vote for Obama/Biden.

Government aid for the poor needs to be reworked. It's ridiculous that uneducated idiots can have 5 kids and live off the system their whole lives, but when a struggling worker needs help in tough situations, they are denied. It is very unfair.

There needs to be more arts in school curricula. Art classes, music, band, drama/theatre etc. are great creative releases that can benefit more students than traditional bare-bones curricula. Every child needs to find some form of creative outlet.

  13. im not a strong catholic but here r my opions

abortion: against it ;; its just like murder

death penalty: also against it. what if they're innocent. besides 2 wrongs don't make a rite

war in iraq: y r we in there to begin with? we're just wasting $$$

g*y marriage: don't really care for it. that's they're thing. but if u catholic nd g*y that's one of the worst things to do

gvt aid for the poor: yea i think you should help out the poor a little

the role of arts in skool curricula: yes im for that

  14. Im not catholic, but ill give my views anyway.

Abortion: Against it, but for killing babbys for food.

    Death Penalty: Support it

    War in Iraq: Against it

    g*y Marriage: For it

    08' Election: Vote for Paris

    Welfare: Against It

Role of the Arts in School: They shouldn't have a role... Bad experience in Art Class.. *Shudder*

  15. I'm Catholic, and I am:

    Against abortion

    Ambivalent about the death penalty

Against the war but still support our troops

g*y marriage is a legal issue, not a religious one, IMHO.

Think government aid for the poor should have work-mandates to go with it: I'm disabled, and there are still jobs I can do. Except for the most severely disabled, most people can still contribute something to the work force.

Arts in schools should foster an appreciation of beauty and an understanding of the history of music, painting, sculpture, etc.

    You're welcome. :)

  16. I'm not a Catholic, but I am a Bible believing Christian and I thought you should know how we feel on these issues too:

Abortion?  Equal to murder.  Alaska's Gov. Sarah Palin was told a year ago she was carrying a Downs Syndrome Baby.  She was encouraged by her doctors to abort that child.  She gave birth to a healthy baby, except for Downs Syndrome in April of this year.

The death penalty?  Yes, its the only way to respect human life as valuable.

The war in Iraq?  Thanks to President Bush there was only one 9-11.

    g*y marriage?  Opposed

The 2008 election?  For McCain - Palin

Government aid for the poor?  Stop paying unwed mothers to have more babies out of wed lock.  Make job skill training a requirement for financial aid, and once the job training ends, end the handouts.

The role of the arts in school curricula?  We need to have the "Arts" in our schools such as Music and Art.

Why?  Ask yourself how many people on death row paint or know how to play a musical insturment.

    Thanks. ---  Your weclome.

  17. Abortion: Is wrong except in cases of ectopic pregnancy.

The death penalty: should not be used.

The war in Iraq: I am a pacifist, therefore I disapprove of all wars.

g*y marriage: I don't have a problem with it. If g**s can't get married, neither should infertile couples or people with interreligious relationships. It is just a legal marriage, I do not see a problem.

    The 2008 election: Obama

Government aid for the Poor: I think it is perfectly fine, as long as the aid is reserved for necessities and not luxuries.

The role of the arts in school curricula: Though completely irrelevant to Catholicism, I believe that schools should have arts programs. Music programs help people get better at math. Sculpting/Drawing/Painting classes help develop creativity.

  18. Abortion:  Pro-life, as the Church teaches

The death penalty:  Against, as the Church teaches

The war in Iraq:  Confused.  Obviously, we're there now, so I don't know what the right thing to do is.  If we just leave, will that make it worse?  I don't know?

g*y marriage:  Religiously, I'm against it.  Can't we have some sort of civil union that keeps marriage religious but allows non-Christians to have freedom?

Government aid for the poor:  We need this, but we also need a leader that will protect our economy so that we won't have so many poor needing aid.

The role of the arts in school curricula:  Arts are important, but come after the basics in math, reading and writing.

    Hope this helps.

  19. Abortion?

I think it is murder.  Life begins at conception, if you kill the cells, even if they do not look like a person at the time, you have just killed a person anyway.  Because those cells, when left to do as they were programmed to do, creates another human being.

    The death penalty?

I think it is murder.  The person screwed up or is totally screwed in the head.  That does not give us the right to stoop down and behave in the same violent manner that they behaved in.

    The war in Iraq?

I'm against it.  But, I support our troops.  I don't think a single one of them really wants to be there, they would rather be home with their families.  Instead they are over there for an ideology, a way of life, which it is doubtful that the people actually want.  But I could be wrong, they might want democracy.  But I realize that our troops' main purpose is to protect our freedoms, so I support them 100%

    g*y marriage?

I am against it on the premise that they can not procreate on their own.  They might be able to adopt, but they can not, within their marriage create a baby on their own without outside sources.

    The 2008 election?

The same way I feel about all elections, there's a lot of tap dancing around issues, a lot of peddling to special interest groups all for votes.  I am going to vote with my conscience, it's just too bad Steven Colbert isn't in the race <G>

    Government aid for the poor?

It could be better in the fact that they penalize people for trying to get out of poverty.  I've been on welfare before, (when you are a widow w/ 3 kids and you are trying to make it on wal mart wages, it just doesn't work).  If you get a raise, or a better job, they yank a whole lot away at once, they don't even give the chance to ensure that the people on on even ground.

The role of the arts in school curricula?

Hmmmmm well, I live in a small town, we have art classes, chorus, band, piano, also lit classes, so it could be better in other areas, but we do have pretty good programs

giving the kitteh a glass of alcohol milk Enjoy!

  20. Hiya, Slim.

    1.  Abortion: Against.

    2.  Death penalty:  Against.

    3.  Iraq war: Not justifiable in terms of legitimate defense; however, justifiable or not, our troops are on the ground and deserve our support.

    4.  g*y marriage: Civil unions are already recognized, and domestic partners are covered by employee benefit plans.  The issue is being used by both sides as a deliberately polarizing political hot button.

    5.  2008 election: Voting for McCain/Palin.

    6.  Government aid for the poor:  As long as we aren't defining an artificial "poverty level" in which big-screen TVs, etc. are seen as necessities of life, then it is our responsibility to care for the legitimately poor and marginalized members of society.  But it should be a shared responsibility between government and the private sector, including religious charities.

    7.  Arts in school curricula:  The arts help us understand our history, define our humanity, and find common ground.  I'm all for it.

  21. I have mixed feelings on the abortion debate. I feel that the use of birth control should be taught so that abortion becomes far less of an issue. I support comprehensive sexual education in schools. I do not like abortion, but I don't like women dying from botched abortions, either. If it must be done, then let it be done by a medical professional.

I am against the death penalty.

I am against the war in Iraq. I am a pacifist.

    I support g*y marriage.

I will vote in the 2008 election, but for whom I am voting is my own business.

Yes, I support governmental aid for the poor.

The arts are highly important in education.
